Let’s get one thing clear. I don’t hate mine. But I do love a good laugh. And let’s face it: in the pressure-cooker environment that is a closely-held business, sometimes, your business partners just “get up your nose,” as they say in England.

So check out the 3 short videos on the ihatemypartner.com site of Argosy Partners and their “Shotgun Fund”. They appear to have an innovative approach to business “divorce,” helping to find the private equity capital when one partner triggers the “shotgun” clause. That’s the “I’m outta here” clause. Buy me out or I’ll buy you out.

Thanks, too, to Jason Edwards for pointing out the marketing genius behind the videos. It seems that part of Argosy’s strategy involved putting these videos on YouTube and letting Internet lead generation do its thing!
