Blood Can Be Thicker than Business

Posted on October 1, 2012 in Business Partners

From the happy side of being in business with a family member comes this story from Mt. Lebanon, PA about mother-daughter duos who are in business together . . . successfully!  The mothers and daughters seem to have found in each other complementary skill sets, and for them, the business relationship has brought their personal lives that much closer together.

As the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported, they have the luxury of combining buying trips to New York City with seeing Broadway shows.  Still, it is difficult to get away — friends must be available to run the store in their absence — one of the few disadvantages cited by the mother/daughter entrepreneurs.
