Leaving a Business Partner

True confessions time:  the last few months have been very hard because, well, for all of my desire to be the Business Partnership Expert, my own business partner and I parted company as of December 31, 2007.  It was my decision.  There were things in the partnership that just weren’t working, and others that I had ignored for a long time, but about which I could no longer stick my head in the sand. There are still some ongoing details, and it wasn’t entirely an amicable separation (even with a partnership agreement), but for the most part, I was able “exit — stage left” (Heavens to Murgatroid!) within a matter of a few months.  I suppose that, in itself, is a real achievement.  I’ll be writing more about it as I get back to blogging.
