Partners in Love, But Not Business?

Partners in Love, But Not Business?

By Nina Kaufman, Esq.

My husband’s birthday is just around the corner, and I was thinking about how amazingly supportive he has been through the trials and tribulations my business has seen over the last five years.  He’s been my #1 fan.  Part cheerleader, part therapist, part mentor, part mastermind, part cattle prod (as in “don’t you think it’s time you got off that computer and went to the gym?”), Joe has been a vital part of my company . . . even though he’s not an owner.  For all that he does, I can put up with the Mets and the Giants. 🙂 So I had a little chuckle when I came across Dr. Gail Saltz’s column, advising a man whose fiancée excluded him from her startup. Seems he supported her and her two daughters when she lost her job.  She got a part-time job, and promptly lost that, leaving him to support the family alone.  The fiancée then got all excited about an Internet business, and the man helped her by paying off all the expenses she…

Flying solo doesn’t have to mean going it alone.

I’m Nina Kaufman.

I know first-hand that running a knowledge-based service business has unique challenges. It’s so much easier when you have an advocate in your corner. Over the past 25 years, I’ve worked with thousands of New York business professionals who want a legal advisor to guide and support them as they navigate the business world.

With wide-ranging experience as a business attorney, strategist, and media authority, I bring the added power of a business lens to the legal issues my clients are facing.

And because I’ve been a business owner myself, I’ve lived through the soaring highs and devastating lows – like when my first law firm failed. So I understand what’s involved to serve great clients, detect business risks early and build a true legacy.

I can’t get those 12 years back. That’s why I have made it my mission to ensure that business professionals like you can become wise and discerning leaders, build a solid business, and live your best life.
