Small Business Optimism on MSNBC

By Nina Kaufman, Esq.

If you slept in this past Sunday morning (and normally, I would, too), you may have missed my segment on MSNBC’s “Your Business” where I was part of a panel that included venture attorney Jennifer E. Hill and National Federation of Independent Business chief economist, Bill Dunkelberg.

What’s your take on the economy? How has it affected your business?  Here are just a few things people have mentioned to me:

    • “I don’t even want to think about the shenanigans in Washington–I’m just trying to plug along as best I can and keep my head above water.”
    • “My business is pkay … but everyone I talk to seems depressed.”
    • “I’m choking on late receivables.  Think my landlord will take an IOU the way my clients want to give them to me? :-)”
    • “I’m giving everything a second look:  staff performance, marketing efforts, technology costs.  If it’s not working, it gets changed.”
How about you?  Are you expanding, contracting, or “waiting and seeing”?  Join the conversation!
